School Transport - Bus Éireann Information 2020/21- Updated

Bus Éireann and the Department of Education and Skills has issued the attached information document relating to the School Transport Scheme for the school year 2020/21

Contained in the documents below was the following paragraph in relation to claiming a refund if you do not wish to use the public transport scheme in the school year 2020/21

 

We understand that for some parents and children this latest updated advice may mean that you do not wish to use post-primary school transport and that you may wish to bring your own child or children to school for the 2020/2021 school year. If this is your choice we ask that you inform us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.  by Friday 4th September and a refund on the cost of your ticket will be arranged.

For those children who are eligible for transport under the terms of the school transport scheme and whose parents decide not to use transport for the 2020/2021 school year the Department will provide a grant to support you with the cost of transport arrangements. Grants will be paid at the end of the school year following receipt of documentation confirming the number of days your child has attended school in the 2020/2021 school year.
