After months of pestering, Ms. Campbell finally gave in, and the flights were booked.
Our Greenschools committee has had a busy few weeks during this first term of school. We are currently in the process of renewing our Litter and Waste flag while also applying for the Energy Flag.

Climate Action week took place from October 14th to October 20th this year in our school. All students and teachers were involved in one way or another. They were asked one simple question – ‘What action will you take'?
The Open Evening is traditionally one of the big events in the life of the school and a great opportunity to witness teamwork on a grand scale.

The CBS was delighted to once again to be involved in Culture Night 2019.
On Tuesday the 8th of October the CBS U-16 basketball team played in the Community Centre Ennistymon against St Raphael’s Loughrea.
Ennistymon CBS introduced a Digital Ambassador scheme in the school in 2019.

Retirement after almost 50 years “climbing the Hill to the Monastery”
The CBS boys returned to school the last week in August to rather unseasonal weather. A good school jacket is required for the school year and we strongly recommend the Hunter Crested Jacket which was chosen by CBS students following extensive market research.
As part of the Green Schools effort to decrease the amount of waste produced in the school and to protect our environment we have installed two filtered water supplies in the school.

Continuing tradition, several CBS students took part in Ennistymon Choral Society’s recent production of Sister Act – The Musical.
Alan Devine an actor from Fair City cast, who also portrayed the Monk on the Veronica Geurin movie, facilitated a very engaging workshop on public speaking to the TY classes on Monday and Tuesday 1st and 2nd April.
